The Northeastern State bats blitzed Southeastern Oklahoma to the tune of 14 base hits and 16 runs in a 16-6 seven-inning victory at Rousey Field on Tuesday afternoon.

The RiverHawks (7-14) were dealt a run of damage by the Savage Storm (13-8) in the opening inning. The hosts would answer back with 12 straight scores, highlighted by seven in the fourth inning. After the visitors scored three in the fifth to end the run of unanswered offense by Northeastern, the RiverHawks one-upped them with four more in the bottom of the frame to place the matchup firmly out of reach and set the stage for its early conclusion after the top of the seventh.
