GLADEWATER – Troup and Gladewater needed a couple of extra frames to settle things Tuesday night in Gladewater where Troup claimed a 13-8 win.

The game was tied 7-7 after seven innings of play, with both schools plating one run in the eighth inning.

Olivia Anderson, London Driggers and Heather Longino each had three hits apiece as a part of the Maroon and White’s 14-hit attack.

Anderson stroked two doubles a d drove in three runs while Driggers also clubbed a couple of two base knocks and collected two RBI.

Longino belted a triple and drove in three runs.

Other hitting leaders for Troup were Bendi Saucedo (triple, RBI) and Haylee Cheatum (double).

As a team, Troup hit a .350 (14-40) clip.

Freshman Ashlynn Dowdle was the complete game winner in the circle for the Lady Tigers.

She gave up two earned runs off of 10 hits, walked six and struck out nine.

Gladewater was led offensively by Tinsley Aldridge, who went 4-5 and clubbed a double.

At 6 p.m. Friday the Lady Tigers (9-13, 2-2) and the Lady Bears (7-12, 1-2) will battle in Troup.
