MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Milwaukee Brewers are planning ahead to help with traffic flow on game days amid the ongoing I-94 construction project.

In an attempt to help lessen the anticipated congestion during Brewers games at American Family Field this season, the team is hiring three extra Sheriff squads to manage outbound traffic, as well as an onsite tow service to clear stalled vehicles or accidents.

“We are working closely with the Department of Transportation to make sure fans have the information and support they need,” said Brewers President of Business Operations Rick Schlesinger in a press release. “We’re committed to doing our part to make sure the fan experience in arriving and leaving the ballpark is convenient, efficient and safe.”

Eastbound I-94 near the ballpark is expected to re-open to three lanes beginning next week, but fans driving to the game are still encouraged to plan extra time for their trip. Additionally, all ramps at the General Mitchell Interchange will be open for home games.

new, dedicated WisDOT website designed to serve as the central hub for recommended routes to and from American Family Field includes both primary and alternate routes for fans leaving the parking lots. The site will also be accessible through QR codes found throughout the ballpark.

The release indicated the team is also considering “optional postgame experiences for fans” that would allow for progressive egress out of parking lots.
