CLEMSON — No. 11 Clemson overcame a 5-2 deficit with eight runs in the fifth inning and three runs in the sixth to rally for a 13-7 victory over No. 4 Georgia Tech at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Carson Kerce gave Georgia Tech (17-3, 4-2 ACC) a 5-2 lead with a three-run homer in the fifth before the Tigers (16-4, 1-2) came roaring back.

Jacob Jarrell blasted a two-run homer, his eighth of the year in the bottom of the inning. Jack Crighton doubled in the tying run two batters later, and after the Tigers took the lead on a passed ball, Ty Dalley had a two-run single and Tryston MCCladdie a two-run double to cap an eight-run inning.
McCladdie paced Clemson’s 14-hit attack with a career-high four hits, going 4 for 6 with a school-record-tying three doubles and two RBIs. Crighton was 3 for 4 with a walk, double and two RBIs, and Jarrell finished with three RBIs.
Dion Brown (2-0) pitched three innings in relief to earn the win as the Tigers avoided being swept in the three-game series.
Coll. of Charleston 5, Stony Brook 4 (10)
MOUNT PLEASANT — College of Charleston took advantage of an error on a sacrifice bunt in the bottom of the 10th inning to walk off with a win over Stony Brook.
Stony Brook evened the game with a run in the ninth. In the 10th, Nick Diaz led off with a double to bring up Will Burgess, who bunted to the pitcher. But the Stony Brook reliever threw the ball into the outfield, allowing Diaz to score the winning run.
Jacob Amman was 3 for 5 with a double, stolen base and RBI for the Cougars (8-10, 3-2 CAA), while Dylan Johnson was 2 for 4 with a walk and two doubles. Reece Holbrook and Braeden Smith each had two hits and an RBI, while Alex Lacoste also had a pair of hits.
Carson Bryant went two innings for the win in relief. Starter Jace Stancil gave up two runs on two hits and two walks with a career-high five strikeouts in 42/3 innings.
The Citadel 22, UT-Martin 3
MARTIN, TENN. — Aryan Patel was 5 for 5 with two doubles, three RBIs, a stolen base and three runs scored as The Citadel rang up 14 runs in the seventh inning to blast Tennessee-Martin via the run rule.
The Bulldogs (7-9) held a comfortable 8-3 lead before the outburst. The Citadel finished with 20 hits, including two each by Jayden Williams, Miles Barbrey, TJ Anderson, Matthew Lively, Garrett Fulmer and Lane Tobin.
Barbrey had two doubles and four RBIs, while Fulmer homered and drove in two. Rhyder Poppell had a solo homer, Tobin drove in three and Lively and Anderson drove in two apiece.
Citadel reliever Ben Brash tossed two scoreless innings in relief of starter Riley Ballard to get the win. Ballard allowed three runs on three hits and four walks with four strikeouts in four innings.
Villanova 5-4, Charleston Southern 0-22
Charleston Southern was shut out in the opening game of Saturday’s doubleheader with Villanova, falling 5-0.
The bats woke up after that as the Buccaneers (13-6) pounded out 15 hits and scored in every inning in a 22-4 win that ended in the seventh via the run rule.
In the second game, John Emendorfer went 2 for 3 with a homer, double and four RBIs, while Tyler Wright was 1 for 1 with two walks, two hit by pitches, a homer, four runs scored and two RBIs for CSU. Garrison Barile was 2 for 2 with a walk and three RBIs, while Mason Reising and Alex Marot each had two hits.
CSU starter Matt Gallant allowed two runs on four hits while striking out four in 51/3 innings.
