PITTSBURGH – Following a dominant weekend in the circle, Pittsburgh’s Kyra Pittman, an Allegany alum, was named Atlantic Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week Tuesday.
Pittman played a pivotal role in leading Pitt to a series victory over NC State, earning wins in both of her appearances. The right-hander opened the weekend with a complete-game performance, allowing just one run on three hits while striking out a career-high six batters and issuing only one walk.
