Nebraska baseball (16-5) concluded its two-game series with Wichita State (15-8) on Wednesday afternoon. The Huskers completed the sweep, blowing out the Shockers 10-1.
Nebraska set the tone in the top of the first, capitalizing on early miscues by Wichita State and scoring four runs. The Huskers added two more runs before the Shockers got on the board in the fourth. Nebraska then shut down Wichita State on defense, retiring the final 16 batters.
The Huskers finished the day with 14 hits for nine RBIs. The Shockers totaled three hits for one RBI. Case Sanderson once again chalked up three RBIs in the win, going 2-for-5 with a double.
Jeter Worthley finished 3-for-5 at the plate, hitting two doubles and scoring four runs. Dylan Carey batted 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored. Drew Grego blasted a two-run home run in the seventh for his only hit of the game. Jett Buck totaled 2-for-5 for an RBI.
Tucker Timmerman (1-0) earned his first win of the season on the mound, pitching two scoreless innings and throwing two strikeouts. Pryce Bender started the game and pitched the first 4.0 innings. He fired three strikeouts and allowed one run on three hits and two walks.

Nebraska remains on the road, heading east for a three-game series at Michigan starting Friday afternoon. The first pitch is set for 3 p.m. CT on B1G+.
