MOOREFIELD, W.Va. — Moorefield scored three runs in the first and held off a Berkeley Springs rally for a 6-3 victory in its opener Thursday.
The Yellow Jackets (1-0) saw their 4-0 lead cut to one run after the Indians plated three in the fourth, but they tacked on insurance runs in the fourth and sixth and had solid relief pitching.
