We’re less than a week from Opening Day when the Cubs will welcome the Nationals to Wrigley Field to kick off the 2026 MLB season. It’s warming up around Wrigleyville and delivery trucks are arriving by the dozens to prepare the baseball park at Clark and Addison for millions of fans to watch baseball over the course of the season. Those fans will have some new food options to choose from at the ballpark and the Cubs hosted a sample tasting of those items for members of the media on Friday.
Executive Chef Mary Ann Cullerton explained the process for adding new items to the menu of offerings at Wrigley Field. The crew at Levy evaluates fan feedback and works to ensure there are offerings sure to please fans. She also mentioned the joy the team at Levy gets walking around the stadium as fans enjoy their latest food creations.
There were three main sections of items revealed. The rotational menu items can be found in the concourse at the Marquee Classics in Section 117. We were fortunate to be able to try samples and I can confirm foodie fans of the Cubs will want to give the new menu items a try:
The Bao Wow Dog a new offering at Wrigley Field in 2026 Levy
The Bao Wow Dog will be available for the opening homestand. It features a Vienna Beef hot dog tucked inside a soft bao bun with tangy Heinz mustard slaw, crispy tempura sports peppers, Fresno peppers and a sriracha aioli. The Bao Wow Dog comes with McCain’ SureCrisp fries.
Tostada Stack a new concessions offering available at Wrigley Field in 2026 Levy
The Tostada Stack features one of my all-time favorite flavors, Hatch green chile beef, seasoned refried beans, queso fresco, fresh Pico de Gallo and crema topped with a fried egg and served with a side of salsa roja.
Double Diamond Waffle Fries a new offering at Wrigley Field in 2026 Levy
The Double Diamond Waffle Fries are seasoned waffle fries with braised beef short rib in a red wine sauce with creamy Fontina cheese sauce, bacon, mushrooms, fried onions and scallions — these fries are a meal in and of themselves and are served in a home-plate shaped container.
The Rami and Kingston sandwiches Sara Sanchez
Sure to be a fan favorite just like its namesake, The Rami features hand-cut pastrami, Swiss cheese and coleslaw on rye bread with creamy Russian dressing and a pickle spear.
If you’re looking for a bit more spice in your sandwich opt for The Kingston: a jerk-spiced grilled chicken sandwich with pineapple salsa, spicy slaw, pickled red onion and garlic aioli on a brioche bun.
Chicken & Churros a new menu item at Wrigley Field this season Levy
Last, but certainly not least, in Section 117 treat yourself to a sweet and savory snack with Chicken & Churros. Crispy fried chicken thighs are brined in pickle juice and served with golden brown churros, ancho syrup and fresh strawberries.
For gluten-free fans of the Chicago Cubs there will be a gluten-free stand this season. Located at the Park St. Grill at Section 112 you’ll find a booth dedicated to gluten-free offerings.
Gluten Free chicken tenders and fries available at Wrigley Field this season Levy
I can confirm the chicken tenders at this booth are as tasty as the other offerings in the park — although maybe not quite as flavorful as the chicken in the Chicken & Churros above. This chicken tenders basket comes with thick cut fries and BBQ sauce.
The gluten free garlic & parmesan fries Levy
The garlic parmesan fries were absolutely mouth-watering. These thick cut fries are searched with garlic aioli, shaved parmesan and fresh parsley. If you’re looking for a salty snack other than fries the Homemade Kettle Chips are for you! They are individually packaged. Sweet treats abound at the gluten-free stand too where you can choose between a Brown Butter Rice Crispy Treat or a Chocolate Brownie. They are also individually packaged.
The build your own mac & cheese bar Levy
Sundays feature a fun stand for the kiddos with a Build Your Own Mac & Cheese cart at Section 121. Fans can choose from add-ons for their Kraft mac & cheese like bacon, crispy chicken, hot dogs, BBQ sauce, ranch, Cheetos and Doritos. Get creative on Sundays!
