South Carolina head baseball coach Monte Lee has announced the following staff changes, effective immediately:
Chris Gordon will transition from his role as Director of Operations and Player Development to serve as an on-field assistant coach.
Stuart Lake, a former Gamecock assistant coach from 1999–2002 and 2017-22, will take over as Director of Program Development. Lake brings extensive experience, having previously coached at the College of Charleston, Ole Miss, and The Citadel. He also served as head coach at Charleston Southern for eight seasons. He was named Big South Coach of the Year in 2014.
Lake will continue in his position as Director of Development for the Gamecock Club but will step away from his role as color analyst for Gamecock baseball broadcasts on the Gamecock Sports Radio Network.
Also, Noah Wise will serve as Director of Operations and Equipment Management, William Mann as Director of Hitting Analytics and Owen Moline-Freeman as Director of Pitching Analytics.
South Carolina will travel to Charlotte’s Truist Park on Tuesday to face No. 13 North Carolina, with first pitch scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
