The Georgia Bulldogs are the best power hitting team in college baseball by a significant margin. In fact, Georgia has 24 more home runs than the No. 2 team in the country. Georgia has 80 home runs through 25 games and is the only team in the country averaging over three home runs per game. Vanderbilt, the nation’s second-most prolific home run team, has 56 home runs in 25 games.

Georgia has used a long-ball led offense to have a No. 7 ranking in the USA TODAY Sports baseball coaches poll. The Bulldogs are 20-5 to start the year and have won both of their opening SEC series against Texas A&M and Tennessee.

Georgia has three players among the nation’s top-15 in home runs, which is a big factor in the Dawgs’ elite offense. Junior catcher/versatile Daniel Jackson is second (tied) in the country with 15 home runs. Infielder Kolby Branch has 12 home runs, which is No. 9 nationally (tied). Lastly, Georgia’s Brennan Hudson is having a power surge and has 11 home runs, which is No. 12 nationally (tied), all statistics are per the NCAA through Sunday’s college baseball action.
