USA Baseball’s National High School Invitational (NHSI) is annually one of the top high school tournaments in the country.

The event brings 16 of the most talented teams around the country to one location at Team USA’s Cary, N.C., facility. The 2026 tournament starts Wednesday, March 25, and all 30 MLB clubs will descend on the event to get eyes on the many top 2026 prospects who are playing against competition that could be some of the best they’ll face all season. This year’s field features 16 players who are ranked in our upcoming top 300 draft list for the 2026 class

The NHSI is also a nice launching pad for many notable underclass players to start earning some national recognition of their own. Nine players from our current 2027 top 100 high school list are in the tournament.

Below are the high-priority targets Baseball America is excited to see this week, organized by draft class. Where applicable, players are sorted by their current high school ranking. Non-ranked players are listed in alphabetical order.

You can see player listings grouped by team below our class lists.
