Colorado Mesa senior outfielder Cameron Cartwright was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference’s player of the week, the conference announced in a release Tuesday.
Cartwright, a graduate of Legend High School in Parker, went 7 for 14 in the Mavericks’ four-game sweep at Colorado Christian last weekend. Most notably, the center fielder went 5 for 5 with three home runs and nine RBI during the series opener on Friday, a 22-9 beatdown of the Cougars in seven innings. On the weekend, the senior hit two three-run home runs, a solo home run, a double, walked four times, scored eight times and drove in 11 runs.
The weekly award was Cartwright’s second of his career. He was also named player of the week once as a junior, one year ago on March 25, 2025.
BASKETBALL
Colorado Mesa men’s basketball sophomore guard Harvey White has entered the transfer portal, he announced via social media Tuesday.
The Adelaide, Australia, native earned an All-RMAC honorable mention designation this season after averaging 10.5 points and 2.0 rebounds per game in his sophomore campaign. White was a starter in 47 contests in his Maverick career, including in 27 of his 32 appearances this season. The sophomore finished third on the Mavericks in minutes played in 2025-26 with 859, and fourth in points scored with 335.
White is the first Colorado Mesa player to enter the portal in the 2025/26 cycle.
