SPOKANE, Wash. — Opening Day has nearly arrived for the Seattle Mariners, and with possibly more excitement around the new season than ever before comes a familiar question for fans across the Inland Northwest: how exactly can you watch the Seattle Mariners games in 2026?

The team released updated viewing information ahead of Thursday’s opener, and while there are more options than ever, there are still important details Spokane-area viewers should know.

Streaming option available across the Northwest

The simplest and most reliable option for most Spokane viewers is Mariners.TV, which is available through the MLB app.

The service includes no local blackouts across the entire Pacific Northwest, as well as Montana and British Columbia. That means fans in Spokane and surrounding areas should have full access.

Mariners TV costs $100 for the full season or $20 per month. The service can be streamed on smartphones, tablets and smart TVs, among most smart TV apps and devices.

For many Inland Northwest fans, this may be the most straightforward way to watch games without worrying about channel availability.

Cable and satellite details still developing

For cable and satellite subscribers, the situation is much less clear.

The Mariners announced that Comcast and Xfinity customers can find games on channel 1261. Charter and Spectrum customers in the Seattle and Tacoma markets will have access on channel 414. For DirecTV customers, the Mariners game will air on channel 687.

However, those channel assignments may not immediately appear on local Spokane lineups.

The Mariners put out an update Wednesday night, saying, “If you’re in our home territory (WA, OR, ID, MT, AK) and have cable, satellite or an internet TV provider, Mariners TV will be available on the below distributors and channels (more providers still to be announced). These channels will appear soon if your package includes Mariners TV. We expect your package to include Mariners TV if it included Mariners Baseball last season. A full channel finder (by ZIP code + provider) will be available tomorrow at http://Mariners.com/Watch.”

The team said the channel should populate for subscribers whose package includes Mariners TV by Thursday morning, just hours before first pitch in Seattle. Fans who previously had ROOT Sports are expected to have access to Mariners games again this season, though availability could vary by provider.

Opening Day matchup

Seattle opens the 2026 season at home against the Cleveland Guardians on Thursday, with first pitch set for 7:10 p.m.

Logan Gilbert will start on the hill for the Mariners, while Tanner Bibee will start for the Mariners.
