ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Baseball was back at Busch Stadium Thursday afternoon as the St. Louis Cardinals hosted the Tampa Bay Rays on Opening Day.
Tens of thousands of fans flooded downtown ahead of the action.
The Cardinals are in a reset after moving on from key veterans in the offseason, leaning on their youth in 2026. It is also the first season Chaim Bloom serves as the President of Baseball Operations for the club.
Despite the changes, the traditions and legacy of Opening Day in St. Louis were on full display Thursday.
