NORMAL, Ill. — The Normal CornBelters banged out 10 hits and rolled to a 9-5 win over Burlington in the Bees’ road opener Wednesday at the Corn Crib.

The Bees scored four runs in the sixth inning and one in the eighth.

Dominic Teixiera had three hits and drove in a pair of runs for the Bees.

Kooper Schulte and Keanu Spenser each had a double and drove in a run. Caleb Seibers and drove in a run.

Connor Cave, Schulte, Spenser, Conor Fitzpatrick and Seibers each scored a run.

Alex Logan took the loss. In 2 1/3 innings, he allowed four hits and three earned runs, walked three and did not have a strikeout.

Marshall Cox, Dylan Eggl, Shawn Scott and Braeden Sunken all saw action on the mound for the Bees.

Burlington (1-1) was scheduled to play Thursday night at Normal. The Bees then travel to Clinton for games Friday and Saturday before returning home to host Springfield at 2 p.m. Sunday at Community Field.
