Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the MLB. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Orioles fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.

The people of Birdland are ready to see the Orioles postseason win drought come to an end this year. In this week’s survey of Orioles fans, I asked people to think about how far they think the Orioles will go in the 2026 season. Here’s how the results came in:

That’s an absolutely overwhelming majority in favor of the team making the postseason in some form, with a whopping 88% of voters picking one of the options that has the team getting back into the playoffs after an absence last year. (The percentages don’t add up to 100. I didn’t make the graphic.) The only question for most people is how far the team will go?

The plurality choice is 34% of voters who see the team winning the Division Series – one or possibly two series wins – before falling short in the ALCS. After zero postseason wins since sweeping the Tigers in the 2014 postseason, that would be a nice bit of progress. Of course, it would still hurt plenty to fall short after making it that far.

The next-largest contingent sees the team getting no farther than it did in 2023 or 2024. Much as I’d like for them to be wrong, I don’t blame anyone who looks at it this way. These guys are going to have to prove to us that they can do it and until they do it, it’s fair to wonder if they will.

As ever, a contingent of wide-eyed optimists are there, combining for 30%, that the Orioles will either win the American League or the World Series. Honestly, I can’t even imagine it. That would be fun.

With a 1-0 start to the regular season, the Orioles have done all they can do through one game to put themselves on the road back to a postseason victory.
