The 2026 Division 2 baseball season has hit its peak. While teams are battling on the diamond each week, their efforts don’t go unnoticed with a spot in the Top-25.

With the post-season close enough to taste, these D2 teams all have one goal in mind: get back to Cary, NC.

A slot in the D2 College Baseball World Series is a dream and with front runners like UT Tyler and the University of Tampa in the rankings week in and week out, the road to Cary never gets easier.

In this week’s Top-25 from the rankings by the National Collegiate Baseball Writer’s Association, the Pittsburg State Gorillas find themselves in the top spot.

Pitt State is 26-3 overall on the 2026 season and 15-3 in conference play. Tampa locks down the second spot with a 22-4 season record while Colorado Mesa rounds out the Top-3 with a 26-3 record.

Here is how the rest of the Top-25 teams stack up in this week’s NCBWA poll.
