The GUARDIANS (+145) are a strong, moderately priced underdog. Cleveland won the opener against Seattle’s top pitcher, now the Guardians get to face Kirby, who has not had great success against them. While it’s a small sample size, back the numbers and take Cleveland to get a second win in as many nights.
If you’re a little hesitant to trust Cleveland’s patchwork lineup for a second straight game, GUARDIANS +1.5 (-170) is not priced out of line if you’d like a little bit of insurance.
The Guardians continually are picked to finish in the middle of the pack, or lower, but then they rise up and surprise on a regular basis.
AVOID.
I expect this score to come down right on the Total (7). After the Over cashed on Thursday in the opener, if I had a lean, it would be OVER 6.5 (-145) – ALTERNATE TOTAL LINE, but there is no sense paying up this early in the season just for some action.
