HIGHLIGHTS: Angelo State baseball team played deep into the night against Javs
SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The Angelo State University baseball team opened a four-game home series against Texas A&M-Kingsville with a 6-5 loss in 14 innings.
The Javelinas improved to 19-12, and the Rams dropped to 20-11.
The series resumes with a doubleheader at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday. The finale is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday.
Kingsville out-hit ASU 13 to 5.
Blake Wilhoite drove in two runs for the Rams.
