With Mike Trout off to a hot start, the Los Angeles Angels look for a 3rd straight win over the Houston Astros on Saturday night
Mike Trout, with home runs in each of the first two games of the season, leads the Los Angeles Angels (2-0) into Saturday night’s matchup with the Houston Astros (0-2) at Daikin Park in Houston. Trout, off to a 4-for-6 start, returned to center field this season after spending most of his time as the designated hitter and in right field for Los Angeles last season, playing in 130 games — the most he’s appeared in since 2019 — while slashing just .232/.359/.439 with 26 home runs. Meanwhile, the Astros got All-Star shortstop Jeremy Peña back in the lineup on Friday night after he broke a finger preparing to play for the Dominican Republic in the World Baseball Classic.
