NEW YORK — Opening Day provided optimism, now the Mets will hope to back it up on a chilly, March afternoon day in the second game of the season.

After an off day Friday on the heels of the Mets pummeled Pirates pitching in an 11-7 win on Opening Day, Carlos Mendoza is rolling out the same lineup as the Mets look for their first series win of the season.

David Peterson will look to get out to another strong start in his debut as he faces the Pirates’ Mitch Keller.
