No. 4 Tennessee out-hit Ole Miss 6-2 on Saturday at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium, but fell 2-1.

Tennessee (29-5, 6-5 SEC) started Karlyn Pickens in the circle for Game 2. The senior tossed a complete game, allowing two runs – one earned – on two hits. Pickens walked four with six strikeouts.

She suffered the loss and is now 7-3 on the year.

Ole Miss’ (23-14, 2-9 SEC) Kyra Aycock started and went the distance in the circle. She scattered six hits and allowed one unearned run with three walks and two strikeouts. She got the win to move to 9-6 in 2026.

The Rebels broke through in the third inning, capitalizing on a Tennessee error. After placing runners on base, the Rebels scored the game’s first run on a fielding miscue before adding a second on an RBI fielder’s choice to take a 2-0 lead.

Tennessee had early opportunities, recording two hits in the first inning, but could not push a run across.

The Lady Vols broke through in the fifth. After Taelyn Holley moved to third on a passed ball, Holley scored as Sophia Knight delivered an RBI double to center field to bring Tennessee within one at 2-1.

Tennessee threatened late, putting the tying run on base in the seventh, but Ole Miss turned a game-ending double play to secure the win.
