LAWRENCEVILLE —Nick Shuhet sparked a six-run third inning with a two-run triple, Erich Hartmann blasted a three-run homer homer in the fifth and Rider beat Canisius, 15-7, on Sunday afternoon to win the rubber game of the series.
Matt Leahy went 4-for-4 and Anthony Paskell collected three hits for an offensive attack that pounded out 16 hits.
Christian Aiello allowed one run over 3.1 innings or relief to pick up the win.
The Broncs (14-7, 10-2) have won all four of their MAAC series are tied with Marist for first place. The Red Foxes visit Sonny Pittaro Field next weekend for a three-game set.
Brown 4, Princeton 0
PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Tigers (7-16, 2-4) managed just one run in the series’ 27 innings and were swept by the Bears (10-11, 5-1). Dylan Reid and Christian Keel combined to hold Princeton to four singles, while Alex Benevento’s three-run homer in the third was all the offense Brown needed.

PISCATAWAY —Brayden Jefferis and Greg Pace Jr. hit RBI singles during a three-run fourth inning, David Lally Jr. tossed 6.2 effective innings in relief and the Wolverines (14-13, 3-6) took the rubber game from the Scarlet Knights (15-12, 4-5). Ryan Jaros had a solo homer for Rutgers.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Chad Palumbo and John Dunphey had five goals each and the seventh-ranked Tigers (6-2, 2-1) used a 6-0 run at the end of the first quarter that jumped into the second period to take control in a victory over the Bears (5-4, 0-2).
Rutgers 9, Johns Hopkins 8
PISCATAWAY — Haydn Sommer scored in double overtime to give the Scarlet Knights (8-3, 1-1) a come-from-behind victory over the Blue Jays (6-3, 1-1). Rutgers trailed by two entering the fourth quarter and forced the overtime thanks to goals from Colin Zeller and a buzzer-beater by Kasey Mongillo.

LAWRENCEVILLE – Abby Cruz went 4-for-4 with a pair of RBIs, Sendall Reda-Fehsal and Emma Morgan also drove in two runs each and the Broncs (15-14, 7-4) came back to split a doubleheader with the Bobcats (15-10, 11-3) and take two of three in the series.

NEW YORK — Julieta Roa and Jessica Phelps knocked in runs in the seventh inning and the Tigers (15-9, 5-0) secured a series victory over the Lions (10-15, 2-3) by winning the first game of a twinbill.
