On Saturday afternoon, the New York Mets will host the Pittsburgh Pirates for their second game of the new season.
They are coming off an 11-7 win (over the Pirates) on Opening Day.

Earlier this week, the Mets reportedly signed Tommy Pham to a minor league deal.
He is coming off a season where he batted .245 with ten home runs, 52 RBI’s, 44 runs and five stolen bases in 120 games.
During the 2023 season, Pham spent part of the year with the Mets.
ESPN’s Jorge Castillo wrote (on Thursday): “The Mets and outfielder Tommy Pham are in agreement on a minor-league deal, a source tells ESPN.”

Pham is most known for his time with the St. Louis Cardinals where was 11th in 2017 MVP voting.
In addition to the Cardinals, Mets and Pirates, the 38-year-old has also spent time with the San Diego Padres, Tampa Bay Rays, Cincinnati Reds, Chicago White Sox, Boston Red Sox, Arizona Diamondbacks and Kansas City Royals.
Over 1,241 games, Pham has batted .256 with 149 home runs, 522 RBI’s, 652 runs and 131 stolen bases.
