The Tampa Bay Rays (1-2) earned their first win of the season on Sunday, defeating the St. Louis Cardinals (2-1) 9-7 on Sunday afternoon.
The Rays built leads of 3-0, 6-3 and 9-4 en route to the win. Each time the Cardinals pushed back, the Rays had an answer, finishing with eleven runs on seventeen hits. Yandy Diaz led the offensive day, going 5-for-6 with four RBI and two runs scored.
