If the 2026 season opening series against the Miami Marlins is any indicator, it’s going to be another long year. The hire of former Dodgers General Manager – and Jonah Hill muse – Paul DePodesta as their president of baseball operations this offseason has led many to have a little bit of hope at Coors Field this year. But that’s a long play, not an overnight fix.

DePodesta was largely the subject portrayed by Hill in the 2011 film Moneyball, starring Hill and Brad Pitt.
