Brendan O’Sullivan dives into his pick and prediction for the Kansas City Royals vs. Minnesota Twins game on Monday.
The Royals and Twins begin a three-game series on Monday, March 30 at 4:10 p.m. ET.

Let’s get into a pick and prediction for this Royals vs. Twins game.
Royals vs. Twins prediction, preview
The Royals avoided a sweep from the Braves in the first series of the season. Now, they move onto a division rival at home. Kansas City will host the Twins in a three-game set starting on Monday, March 30.
Kris Bubic is on the mound for the Royals, after another solid season. He started 20 games, finishing with a 2.55 ERA across 116.1 innings. It was the second consecutive season he had a sub-3.00 ERA, but his 2024 campaign was all bullpen appearances.
The Royals’ offense was quiet in the first series, scoring just two runs across the first two games. They scored four in the third match to defeat Atlanta 4-1.
Kansas City’s pitching was great in that third game, allowing just one run (a solo shot in the eighth inning). They allowed seven hits, but didn’t allow any leakage.
The Twins stay on the road after losing their opening series in Baltimore. Minnesota struggled to score in the first game, but it managed 10 runs across the next two. That level of offense will be necessary against Kansas City, but it won’t come easy against Bubic.
Simeon Woods Richardson is starting for the Twins. He debuted in 2022 but didn’t play a full season until 2024. Both 2024 and 2025 campaigns were underwhelming, as he posted ERAs of above 4.00. He’s still just 25 years old, so improvement is possible.
Lucky for him, the Royals’ offense isn’t stacked.. Bobby Witt Jr. is a stud, and Salvador Perez and Vinnie Pasquantino are solid hitters, but they’re not enough to make this roster a threat.
Royals vs. Twins Pick, Best Bet
Although the Twins’ offense showed some life against the Orioles, it’s not enough to make me a believer. Minnesota has a weak lineup and is facing Bubic for the series opener.
Royals moneyline is the way to go.
Best Bet: Kansas City Royals ML (-156)
