On Monday, he was a visitor for the Chicago White Sox, but he sure did look right at home.

Vargas hit a grand slam as part of a 2-for-4 day that included six RBI.

In the process, he became just the third player in White Sox franchise history to have a game with six RBI out of the leadoff spot, according to stats guru @JayHayKid on X.

The most recent was Yoan Moncada, in 2018.

Rip Radcliff also achieved the feat in 1936.

And how about some Rip Radcliff fun facts while we’re here:

Back to Vargas — he had a career-high .717 OPS last season with 60 RBI, so this is a strong start to the new season to try and build off that.

And on Monday, he did it with familiar faces in the stands.
