I’m not panicked with Bo Bichette.
I’ll never be panicked with Bo Bichette.
I would urge Mets fans to go check out his baseball reference page and see the amount of hits, runs, and RBIs this man has collected in full healthy seasons.
Last year, he led the Blue Jays in some massive categories, okay.
He’s on a team with Vlad Guerrero Jr. and George Springer, and he’s the one leading the way, right?
He’s driving in the runs.
He’s the difference maker for the team.
There’s no panic because number one, he’s playing out of position.
Okay?
He’s playing third base.
That’s not his choice, right?
The Mets decided that they wanted to do round peg square hole, and put guys out of position and play them in places that they don’t play.

Bo Bichette doesn’t play third base, so he’s learning a new position, right?
He’s learning a new team, he’s learning new faces.
But again, there’s zero panic because Bo Bichette knows how to produce.
I just watched him in the game yesterday.
I watched his swing.
I obviously think everyone saw his swing, swinging around town, to get a hit.
But I’m not panicked about Bo.
He’s one of the best contact hitters in the game, and I’m a little disappointed in Mets fans for booing him early.
That’s not really the Mets way.
That’s more a Yankees thing.
I’m a little surprised.
There’s so many new faces on that team, it’s gonna take a second.

The key for me And by the way, it’s World Series or bust this season.
The payroll that they have, the talent that they have on that team, it’s, it’s World Series or bust.
But for me, it’s gonna take chemistry.
How does Carlos Mendoza make sure his guys gel together, make sure that the team gels together?
They got a lot of leaders, right?
A ton of leaders in that clubhouse.
How do they make sure that some guys maybe listen more and talk less?
How do they work through that?
That’s the key for them, to not have too many field generals out there trying to puff their chest out and be the guy, and play team baseball.

Team baseball, selfless baseball, that’s the key for the New York Mets this season.
They have all the talent in the world.
They have a great starting staff.
They have a very good bullpen, okay.
How do they play selfless team baseball and get back on track?
Because they It, it would be an embarrassment to not get to the postseason and not make a deep run with the money they’ve spent and the talent they’ve acquired, and that includes having Bo Bichette, who, by the way, came out in the World Series with a bum knee and still produced.
That’s the guy the Mets have on their team, so don’t take that for granted this season.
