It was a busy day for local high school teams on Monday afternoon.

Grady Blue and Ethan Carlisle helped lead Illini West to a 10-0 home win over Liberty in a five-inning game.

Carlisle pitched all five innings and had eight strikeouts, while allowing one walk, four hits and no runs.

Blue went 4-for-4 and hit his first career run, scoring four runs, driving in two runs and stealing one base.

Chargers Austin Cramer went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs, while left fielder Aiden Hocker went 1-for-2 with two walks and three RBIs.

Blaine Deege started the game for Liberty and was tagged with the loss after going two innings with six earned runs.

Evan Sims, Reed Sparrow, Beau Luaders and Layne Bent each had a hit for the Eagles.

Illini West (6-0) will play a road game against Rushville-Industry at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Liberty (3-2-1) will play a road game against Quincy Notre Dame at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

West Hancock earned a 10-9 road win over South Fulton.

Titans starting pitcher Dylan Carter pitched 4.2 innings and allowed one earned run in a no-decision. Juris Pohren earned the win after pitching 2.1 innings with six strikeouts.

Layton Conkright, Logan Baker and Carter each had two RBIs for West Hancock.

West Hancock (4-3) faced Payson Seymour on the road on Tuesday, which is followed by a road game against Monmouth-Roseville on Wednesday.

Monroe City shutout Paris 10-0 on the road behind a big performance from starting pitcher Blaize Kauble.

Kauble went 5.2 scoreless innings with eight strikeouts to earn the win, just allowing three hits and three walks.

Kauble also went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, while Landon Jones went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.

Monroe City (3-2) played a road game against Canton on Tuesday, which is followed by another road game against Westran on Wednesday.
