The Atlanta Braves just became the first team to unveil their new 2026 Nike City Connect uniform, doing so via a video posted to their social media channels early this afternoon.
Anyone who grew up a baseball fan in the latter part of the 20th Century knows all about Atlanta Braves Baseball on TBS. It didn’t even matter if you lived far from Atlanta; heck, I grew up in Canada, and my family regularly watched Braves Baseball throughout the 1990s. Were we Braves fans? No, not really. But it was good, quality baseball, right there on your television, and it was on just about every night.
Those who became baseball fans during the streaming era might not appreciate how fantastic this was.
It’s this unique time in history in which Braves Baseball was able to invade every market in the country that the club has chosen to celebrate and pay tribute to with their second crack at a City Connect uniform.
The jersey is a baby blue pullover with a scripted “Atlanta” across the chest in white with red trim. The “Atlanta” script is lifted from the Braves’ uniforms worn from 1976 to 1980. The cap, also baby blue, features a white, scripted “A” with a red drop shadow, blue visor, and a red pipe between the crown and bill.
“Where’s the TBS connection?” you ask.
Well, it’s on the new sleeve patch, which features the club’s abbreviation of “ATL” laid out in the style of the 1990s TBS logo. Three blue parallelograms with one white letter with a red drop shadow in each, placed above the blue/red/blue sleeve striping. It’s not bad.

On the back, we have the player names in simple blue block lettering, arched over the number, which is white with blue and red trim. Sadly, none of the players will be wearing “CHANNEL / 17” as their name and number. Pants are white (novel!) with blue/red/blue striping down the side. The club says the City Connect gear will be available starting April 9th at their team store.
“We honour this legacy, not by looking back, but by bringing it forward,” reads a voiceover in the unveil video. “This is a nod to an era remixed for the next one, a uniform inspired by innovation. This isn’t just what we wear. It’s who we’ve always been. Connected. Unmistaken. Proud. Braves Country. This is Atlanta, and this is ours.”
This release did not come with a press release or any detailed photos, so we’re left to largely speculate on the inspiration of this uniform, but it seems fairly straightforward here.
Atlanta becomes the first club to reveal their 2026 City Connect uniform. We haven’t gotten any official list of clubs to come this year, but we’ve seen images floating around out there for Baltimore, Cincinnati, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Pittsburgh, San Diego, and Texas.
This uniform will replace the existing Braves City Connect uniform, first worn in 2023. That uniform was a modernized version of the Hank Aaron-style set, with “The A” on the upper left chest of the jersey.
