SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) -The Atlanta Braves came up short against the Athletics Tuesday night, but that didn’t keep fans away where sports bars still felt like mini Truist Parks.
The matchup was the second game of a three-game series at Truist Park.
Fans at Coach’s Corner in downtown Savannah showed up early to watch, saying they were hoping Atlanta could keep momentum going after winning its opening-weekend series against the Kansas City Royals and shutting out the A’s 3-0 on Monday.
Even though the Braves lost 2-5 against the A’s Tuesday night, many fans said they’re still excited about the season and ready to celebrate every big moment one swing at a time.
“They’re having an amazing season, yes they are,” Savannah resident Kimberly Griffin said. “If they win, I’m going to come here and I’m going to go up to Coach’s Corner tee-pee, I’m going to have a double-shot of Crown and celebrate with everyone.”
The Braves play against the A’s again Wednesday at 12:15 pm.
The Braves and Gray Media will simulcast 25 games for free over the air across Braves Country through “Braves on Gray.”
