The Boston Red Sox lost their 4th straight game on Tuesday night, falling to the Houston Astros 9-2, as they managed only 4 hits.

Ceddanne Rafaela hit a solo home run in the 8th inning.

Connor Wong had a double, driving in a run. Trevor Story and Willson Contreras each had a single.

Masataka Yoshida getting the start at designated hitter was 0-2 but walked twice.

Boston’s batters struck out 13 times, with Roman Anthony striking out 4 times.

On the mound Brayan Bello took the loss, pitching 4.2 innings and allowing 8 hits and 6 runs,  5 of which were earned. He struck out 2 and walked 3.

Ryan Watson pitched 1.1 innings and was charged with 2 runs, allowing 2 hits, striking out and walking 2.  Jovani Moran pitched the final 2.0 innings allowing 1 hit and 1 run, striking out 2, but allowing a home run.

Boston is now 1-4 while Houston is 4-2. The 2 teams will play the final game of their 3-game series on Wednesday afternoon, April 1st, with Garrett Crochet scheduled to start for Boston. You can hear the game on WDEA AM 1370 with the pregame starting at 1:10 and 1st pitch at 2:10 p.m.
