BALTIMORE, MD (WBFF) — Christian Frias only managed Nate George for about five weeks last season. That was more than enough time for the skipper to get an impression of how good the outfielder can be.

George entered last season as a nondescript prospect on the Orioles’ farm system, a 16th-round pick from the 2024 draft who had yet to play a single professional game. He ended it as the organization’s minor league player of the year.

Now, ahead of his second professional season, the 19-year-old has a title that’s been held by players like Adley Rutschman, Gunnar Henderson, Jackson Holliday and Samuel Basallo: Baltimore’s No. 1 prospect.

“If you didn’t know who Nate George was, there’s no way you can hide it anymore,” Frias said. “He’s opened up some eyes since last year.”
