It will be Ohtani’s second start of the season. He went six scoreless, allowing just one hit in a win over the Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday.
The Dodgers will be in Toronto for a three-game set beginning on Monday in a World Series rematch. The Blue Jays took L.A. to the limit in the Fall Classic, but the Dodgers came out on top in Game 7 for their second straight championship.
In last year’s World Series, Ohtani made two starts against the Jays. He went 0-1 with a 7.56 ERA and 1.680 WHIP in 8.1 innings.
Toronto is expected to start Max Scherzer, Kevin Gausman and Dylan Cease in the series against L.A.
The Dodgers are 4-1 on the young season, while the Jays are 4-2.
