MILWAUKEE — When the Brewers scored six runs in the 8th inning Wednesday afternoon, it resulted in an 8-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays and a 5-1 homestand to open the season at American Family Field.

Christian Yelich again was among the heroes when he broke a 2-2 tie with a two-run single in the 8th. It’s an incredibly long, 162-game season.

The National League Central Division is certainly improved, but the Brewers continue to win.

There’s no sign they’re going away.

On this Wednesday afternoon, Jacob Misiorowski was the starting pitcher and did his job.

He allowed two runs and struck out seven over six innings. The Brewers’ bullpen did what it does and shut down the Rays from there.

Certainly, the upcoming road trip to Kansas City and Boston will be challenging. Still, the Brewers have already sent a message. As three-time defending division champions, they’re still the team to beat in the Central.
