One thing I loved
That series is over. That’s about the only positive takeaway from those three games, if you’re a Tigers fan. Three losses, hitting woes, pitching woes, defensive woes, base-running woes, cottage cheese in the TV booth. All kinds of yuck.

At least, now, the Tigers come home for the best day of the year in Detroit, Opening Day, on Friday at Comerica Park. It may not be an official holiday in Michigan, but it should be. I’ve been to 20-some of these things, the past 15 or so for The Detroit News, and it never gets old — even if I have. (To keep me feeling young, apparently, the Tigers hilariously still insist on using my vintage mug shot on my season credential.)
