Blue Jays 2, Rangers 0
You run out of things to say when seemingly every game is the same.
Strong pitching, non-existent offense, a close, disappointing loss.
Wash, rinse, repeat.
One hit. One goddam hit.
The one hit was by Josh Smith, who also drew two walks. Alejandro Osuna also drew a walk. That was it for baserunners for the Rangers.
The Rangers were hitless with runners in scoring position, of course. But then, they only had one at bat with runners in scoring position, so.
Marcus Semien has one double this season. One. I can’t understand how that’s even possible.
I am so very disappointed right now.
Tyler Mahle reached 94.7 mph with his fastball, averaging 92.6 mph. Luke Jackson hit 93.8 mph with his fastball. Hoby Milner threw one fastball at 88.0 mph. Robert Garcia’s fastball topped out at 94.6 mph. Jacob Webb maxed out at 95.7 mph with his fastball.
Wyatt Langford had a 108.6 mph line out and a 102.4 mph fly out. Corey Seager had a 104.7 mph ground out. Jake Burger had a 104.6 mph force out. Alejandro Osuna had a 103.5 mph ground out. Adolis Garcia had a 102.8 mph ground out.
An off day for us to all wallow in the disappointment.
