The Seattle Mariners reinstated shortstop J.P. Crawford off the 10-day injured list on Thursday.

In a corresponding move, second baseman Ryan Bliss was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma.
Crawford began the season on the injured list with right shoulder inflammation. The injury limited him to just seven games and 18 plate appearances in spring training.
He remained in Arizona when camp broke for the big league season, then rejoined the Mariners on Saturday, participating in batting practice and fielding drills.
The 31-year-old Crawford began a rehab assignment with Tacoma on Tuesday and appeared in one game, going 0 for 4 with a walk while batting second and playing shortstop. Crawford was presumably set for a second rehab game Wednesday night, but the Rainiers’ matchup with El Paso was rained out.
A Gold Glove winner in 2020, Crawford is the longest-tenured player on Seattle’s roster, making his team debut in 2019. In seven seasons with the club, he has a career .250/.341/.369 slash line with a .710 OPS, 62 homers and 164 doubles.
Crawford had a 3.8Â bWARÂ in 2025, the second-highest mark for his career, and slashed .265/.352/.370 with a .722 OPS, 12 homers and 24 doubles for the Mariners.
Bliss, 26, appeared in one game during the Mariners’ seven-game homestand to begin the season. He went 0 for 2 at the plate.
In three seasons with the M’s, he has a .210/.282/.360 slash line with a .642 OPS, three homers, four doubles, one triple and seven stolen bases over 45 games.
The club also announced right-hander Ryan Loutos has been placed on unconditional release waivers. Loutos was designated for assignment on Tuesday when the M’s added top prospect Colt Emerson to the 40-man roster following his eight-year contract extension.
The Mariners are off Thursday before beginning their first road trip of the season Friday against the Los Angeles Angels at 6:38 p.m. Mariners Radio Network coverage of the series opener will begin at 6 p.m. with the pregame show. Click here for details on how to hear the broadcast.
