No. 7 Florida State baseball (22-6, 7-2 ACC) is traveling to Charlottesville for a conference matchup against the No. 14 Virginia Cavaliers (23-7, 7-5 ACC). FSU leads the ACC in the standings and is looking to make another run in the NCAA Tournament.
D1 Baseball’s bracketology of the field of 64 seems to agree with this sentiment, as in their rankings, Florida State remains a No. 1 seed, even after dropping a game to an unranked Duke team, 11-4.
The Seminoles are projected to host the Tallahassee regionals as the 13th-best No. 1 seed and would host Texas A&M, Missouri State, and North Florida. They have already faced the North Florida Ospreys and defeated them 14-9. Some other notable No. 1 seeds expected to host regionals are Georgia Tech, Virginia, and North Carolina.
The Seminoles are 32-48 in the NCAA tournament rounds. Their season continues when they travel to Charlottesville for an away game against the Virginia Cavaliers. Fans can catch that game on Thursday at 5 p.m. ET on the ACC Network.
