GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – The score does not tell the whole story. After a promising start, the Gators collapsed and found themselves playing catch-up to the (21-10) Rebels.
I feel like you have seen this before: Liam Peterson, who was picked as a first-round pick in this year’s MLB draft, is chased for the third consecutive time. Peterson continues to rack up strikeouts, but continues to struggle, giving up three walks, three earned off six hits, and lasting less than four innings. Gators were in a 3-1 hole already. Florida also allowed 10 free passes on the night, wow.
Ethan Surowiec provided the offense tonight, recording a homer, an RBI single, and collecting 3 RBI’s. Cade Kurland also homered.
The Gators have a chance to win the series with Aidan King on Friday night and Russell Sandefer on Saturday.
If the Gators do not salvage the series.
It leads to one question. Do you have to play Florida State midweek to win?
First pitch on Friday at 6:30 pm.
