Seattle Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford is set to make his season debut Friday night against the Los Angeles Angels after returning from a stint on the injured list with right shoulder inflammation.

Crawford made only one rehab appearance with Triple-A Tacoma before his return, going 0 for 4 with a walk on Tuesday. He was presumably set for a second rehab game Wednesday, but the Rainiers’ matchup with El Paso in Tacoma was rained out.
Friday’s game appears to be a pretty nice landing spot for the veteran shortstop. He’s raked against Detmers throughout his career, going 8 for 18 (.444 average) with one homer, one double, seven RBIs and one walk to two strikeouts.
The Mariners reinstated Crawford from the IL Thursday and sent infielder Ryan Bliss to Triple-A in a corresponding move.
The Mariners face the Angles at 7:04 p.m. on Friday. Radio coverage can be heard on Seattle Sports 710 AM and the Seattle Sports app starting with the pregame show at 6 p.m.
