Elly De La Cruz video from historic home run night in Kansas City

Cincinnati Reds SS Elly De La Cruz produced his fifth career multi-homer game Tuesday, tying Pete Rose for the franchise record for a switch-hitter.

The fastest duo in sports is linking up for a one-of-a-kind autographed baseball card: Cincinnati RedsElly De La Cruz and eight-time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt.

Topps, a trading card and collectible manufacturing company, announced on social media May 24 that the dual autographed card will be part of its 2024 Dynasty box. The split card features game-worn memorabilia from De La Cruz, as well as athlete-used memorabilia from Bolt.

“FIRST LOOK: The FASTEST duo in sports links up for a one-of-a-kind dual autograph card,” the company wrote on Instagram.

In 2023, during his rookie year, the Reds’ shortstop said he was the “fastest man in the world,” a title many have considered for Bolt.

Bolt is considered to be the greatest sprinter of all time, and according to the Olympics website, is “the fastest man in history.” The Jamaican runner, who dominated sprints for almost a decade, holds the world records in the 100 meters, 200 meters and 4×100 meters relay.

De La Cruz has been called one of baseball’s most electric players since he entered the league and that status has only grown. On Aug. 19, 2023, De La Cruz ran from home-to-home in 15.30 seconds, the fastest home-to-home time by a Red in the Statcast era (since 2015).

The card is part of Topps’ 2024 Dynasty box. One lucky fan will have the chance to pull the one-of-a-kind De La Cruz-Bolt dual autograph card when it releases June 25.

Each box contains an on-card autograph relic card numbered to 10 or less or a 1/1 cut signature card. All relics are game-used and include jersey patches, special event baseballs and batting gloves, according to Topps’ website.
