Cody Bellinger delivered one of the early “how did he do that?” moments of the MLB season Friday — and it came at a perfect time for the New York Yankees’ home opener.
In the ninth inning against the Miami Marlins, Bellinger tracked a deep fly ball toward the outfield wall and turned what looked like a misplay into a highlight that immediately took over social media.

Bellinger sprinted back roughly 60 feet toward the warning track, got turned around as he located the ball, and initially misjudged it off the bat. As the ball dropped, he adjusted late, reaching his glove back across his body and snagging it near knee level just before it hit the ground.
