During Saturday’s game, superstar Mookie Betts had to leave early with an injury.
Katie Woo of The Athletic wrote: “Mookie Betts will hit the IL after MRI results revealed a right oblique strain. Dave Roberts was hesitant to put a timetable on Betts, citing the unpredictable nature of oblique injuries, but is hopeful the time missed will be less than the standard 4-6 weeks.”
As a result, the team has officially recalled Hyeseong Kim from Oklahoma City.

Kim’s Background
Kim played in 71 games for the Dodgers last season (as a rookie).
He batted .280 with three home runs, 17 RBI’s, 19 runs and 13 stolen bases.
The 25-year-old also appeared in two games for the Dodgers during the 2025 MLB playoffs.
Woo Added: “Hyeseong Kim will to split time at SS with Miguel Rojas. Alex Freeland should see most of the reps at second. Roberts is still working through what he’d like the top of the order to look like, but batted Rojas second today to try to get 3 ABs against the Nats lefty starter.”
