PHOENIX — Corbin Carroll continues to do more than set the pace for the Arizona Diamondbacks — he’s rapidly catching up to some of the franchise’s most recognizable names.

The outfielder delivered another standout performance Sunday against the Atlanta Braves, going 3-for-4 with one RBI, a stolen base and a triple. The Diamondbacks rallied for a 6-5 walk-off win in the 10th inning, splitting the four-game series with Atlanta.
The 25-year-old tied Paul Goldschmidt for the second-most stolen bases in franchise history with 124, and his triple leaves him one shy of tying David Peralta for second-most triples in team history.

The milestones only add to a growing list of achievements that have showcased Carroll’s importance to the D-Backs. Goldschmidt and Peralta were two of the organization’s defining players in their era, and for a player in just his fourth major league season, it highlights the talent Arizona has developed since drafting him.
Carroll’s rapid and continued rise reflects a young player who has developed into a foundational piece of the current organization. Surpassing stars who had lengthy careers in the desert is a testament to what the Diamondbacks have, and what they could have in the coming years as they aim to remain competitive.

With the outfielder under control for several more seasons, Arizona maintains elite speed, power and defense to continue building around. While some players at this stage are still adjusting to the major leagues, Carroll is producing at a level that places him alongside established stars.
If his current pace continues, Carroll’s name will only continue to climb the franchise record book.
