Among all the stars, it’s been the young center fielder Andy Pages who has been Los Angeles’ best hitter as of late. Through the first nine games, Pages is slashing .471/.500/.794 with a 1.294, three home runs and 10 RBIs with a 269 OPS+ and a 0.9 fWAR.

Against the Nationals, Pages had three hits with a home run in game one and two, driving in game two runs in game one and three runs in game two.

DH/SP Shohei Ohtani, who started off the season slowly offensively, had six hits in the series, including his first two home runs of the season. He also drove in six runs and raised his OPS to .880. Outfielder Kyle Tucker also hit his first home run of the season — and Dodgers career — on Friday.

The most exciting game was on Sunday, when starting pitcher Roki Sasaki got tagged for six runs through five innings. Down 6-2 heading into the eighth, infielder Santiago Espinal drove in two on a single before Tucker grounded into a fielder’s choice to tie the game. Ohtani then hit a sacrifice fly to lead and then outfielder Teoscar Hernandez homered in the ninth for an insurance run.

Closer Edwin Diaz then pitched a one-two-three inning to secure the sweep.

In unfortunate news for the Dodgers, though, the Dodgers placed shortstop Mookie Betts on the 10-day IL with a strained oblique after he left Saturday’s game early. The Dodgers recalled utility Hyeseong Kim from Triple-A with Betts out.

The Dodgers’ next series starts tonight in a World Series rematch against the Toronto Blue Jays at the Rogers Center at 4:07 p.m.
