Mariners at Rangers picks and predictionsPrediction

Mariners 4, Rangers 3

BET MARINERS (-120).

The Mariners look like a strong bounce-back play Tuesday against the Rangers. These teams are evenly matched on paper, but the pitching edge clearly leans Seattle. Kirby takes the ball and has dominated Texas in his career, going 8-0 with a 1.04 ERA in 10 starts. He’s got the stuff to be an AL Cy Young contender.

On the other side, Eovaldi has struggled out of the gate, allowing 11 earned runs and 16 hits in just 8 2/3 innings. Texas did snap a 4-game skid Monday, but the offense isn’t as dangerous as it once was after key departures like INF Marcus Semien and OF Adolis García from its 2023 title core.

The Rangers are good at home, no doubt but they’ve been below average against their division as a whole. They were just 25-27 against the AL West in 2025. With the clear advantage on the mound and a chance to respond after a loss, Seattle is the side to back.

PASS.

I expect this game to be tight, as they are very evenly matched which is why I’ll stay safe on the moneyline. If you are tempted by those plus odds, I don’t mind a 1/2 unit on the Seattle run line.

PASS.

I’m staying away from the total in this one. The trends are all over the place, with Seattle sitting at 5-5 in their last 10 against the total and the Rangers going 5-3-2. There’s a case for the Under with Kirby on the mound, but not enough consistency to trust it.
