Paul Skenes will make his first home start of the 2026 season when the Pirates meet the Padres at PNC Park on Tuesday.
Skenes bounced back from a rough Opening Day performance against the Mets with five strong innings against the Reds last week. The reigning NL Cy Young Award winner had five strikeouts and allowed just three hits and one earned run in his first win of the year.
Nick Pivetta is expected to take the mound for the Padres. Pivetta also struggled in his season debut before shutting down the Giants on Wednesday.
