DUBOIS — Playing host to Bradford on Monday, the DuBois softball team scored early — one run in the first — and often, recording crooked numbers in four of their six trips to the dish en route to a 14-3 rout.
The host had 11 hits, four of which were triples — one each by Abby Kalgren, Elliette Brewer, Kendall Lashinsky, and Stasija Daniluk.
Hailey Straub added a double, and Addison Edinger and Bryanna Wilmoth — both coming off the bench — had three and two RBIs, respectively.
Brielle Gray, Calli Bash, Claire Gallagher and Theresa McBride each added singles, bringing the number of players who recorded at least a hit to double digits with 11.
Lashinksy pitched the first four innings, allowing three runs — none of which were earned — on two hits and two walks, fanning five.
Bash closed things out with two scoreless innings of work, allowing two hits and striking out four.
Bradford’s only hits were doubles — one each by Alexis Kicior and Jackie Sipko.
DuBois, which saw its record improve to 3-0 with the win, is scheduled to travel to St. Marys on Wednesday.

ST. MARYS — It was a cold and snowy day in St. Marys, but that didn’t stop the Punxsy softball team’s bats from heating up, as the Lady Chucks fired out of the gates with five runs in the first and 10 in the first three innings en route to a 13-4 victory over the hosting Lady Dutch.
St. Marys tallied four in the home half of the fourth, but Punxsy answered with three in the top of the fifth to close out the scoring.
Punxsy’s pop was powered by Brinley Hallman, who had a solo home run in the second inning and a single, and Makenna Gula, who belted a three-run homer in the first and finished with four RBIs.
Sara Gotwald also had three hits, including two doubles, and three RBIs for the Lady Chucks, and Lindee Reed had a three-hit day, all singles.
Ava Snyder added two hits, with Idella Hawk, Maylyn Smart and Olivia Toven all singling to round out a 13-hit day for the team.
Gula also pitched a complete game, allowing just one earned run out of the four on six hits, despite walking 12. She struck out six.
St. Marys finished with six hits, three of which came off the bat of Addison Beimel. Kaylen Eozzo added two and Zoe Romanic had one.
Punxsy’s record improved to 4-1 with the victory, and they’ll be idle until Friday, when they host Johnsonburg. St. Marys (1-4) is home against DuBois on Wednesday.
